Realizing that in some cases when GM truck owners install large, heavy over-sized off road tires and then use the vehicle off road or aggressively on the street, the thin, weak OEM tie rods can bend under the force of impact. This can be a problem even with trucks with absolutely no suspension modifications. One strong impact to either front wheel and tires can result in a bent tie rod. And you can’t expect the dealer to fix it.

ReadyLift is the first to realize this potential problem and develop a solution to help prevent tie rod damage from impacts and excessive wheel and tire weights. The new 67-3156 Tie Rod Reinforcement Kit features a pair of tie rod sleeves that thread onto the existing tie rod. High-tensile strength gun-drilled steel sleeves fit snuggly to the entire circumference of the OEM tie rod to provide the essential support required to handle excessive forces from heavy wheels and tires and hard impacts from off-roading.

Fits on both OEM and Napa replacement tie rods. Direct bolt on. If done properly, no alignment is required when complete.
